Kinda unfamiliar to me.
However this is coming from the guy that just recently learned what "taint" meant. |

She's trying to make herself out to be a victim? That's pretty funny.

Just yesterday she told me that if I ever had a problem with her I should just talk to her about it. So i did. Apparently she's the victim now. And we have a team building exercise at lunch....which she's not going to now! |

Props for saying something. People dont know how inappropriate they are unless someone tells them.

Never heard that before. Probably because Im black.
But the fact that people say that, and that apparently its a common expression, shows that all the talk you hear about racism and discrimination bening ancient history and that ignoring it will make it go away is BS. An expresion like that shows a concious or subconcious belief that excuding someone because of their race is normal or expected.

Just tell HR you were seriously offended by her racist manner... She is the one in the wrong for saying something so obviously ignorant and hateful.

What if she's in there telling them that you called her a cracker. What if shes making up a story where you are the racist and you attacked her.

I don't know what she's going to say.
My boss has a tendency to derail conversations. So I'm just going to stick to the facts. She said a comment (that several people heard, I'm just the one who said something), I asked her to clarify said comment, then told her I found it inappropriate and a poor reflection on her especially considering one of our co-workers has a black son and one has a black mother. boom goes the dynamite |
