I could see that happening, due to it being a "pre-existing condition." Hardly unusual.

Obviously, in our country, she would be treated anyway. But if I were to get married, my health insurance covers every penny of any medecine my wife would need, no matter if it was pre-existing or not. I know one guy I work with married a friend of his for this specific reason.
