I've never really had a problem with getting food on myself and eat wings all of the time.

While I joke about certain things not being "date food", generally I prefer the company of people around whom I feel comfortable diving into my food.

Depends on the situation but I usually don't give too shits about what people think how I eat. I'll TRY to be clean and civil, but when it comes to wings or ribs, fuck your civility. It's how barbarians ate those foods. I won't break that heritage.

It's usually the questions that bother me... "Why so much extra meat, why are you NOT eating bread, why this why that..."

Nope. Im pretty messy. It's not so much that I drop it on myself... its the inevitable splashing that comes with pasta, or the such. Usually something greesy that wont come out of a good shirt.

I was in Italy at Trevi Fountain, two weeks back. Had on this bright yellow polo, and decided it was a fantastic idea that I should get some dark chocolate gelato. As you can guess I had a nice deep brown spot right in the middle of my nice polo. I had to hide the spot as we walked back to the hotel. It was hella good gelato though....

I'm a pretty messy person, or disorganized, I should say. One of the things I am really anal and methodical about is eating. I am not sure how it happened. For example, If I eat soup noodles, all of the noodles has to be rolled neatly into my spoon and then it gets dipped in soup and everything gets slurped up. If I eat dumplings, I bite off a small corner and pour sauce directly into the opening.

I hardly get food all over the place and I hate getting my fingers dirty and sticky when I eat and getting sauce all under my fingernails. I prefer to eat drumsticks for that reason rather than wings. And I don't to do a lot of work for my food, so I don't eat ribs. You can never get enough meat off the bones. If there is a chance of grease getting on my fingers I will have a mountain of napkins on the side.

When I eat corn, I slather butter all over it, all the kernels and the creases has to be covered first, Then I will eat one section on the end first all around before starting on adjacent sections.

I love eating though, and I get irate when I am hungry, so I don't care who is watching.

I am a notorious for being a messy eater. Maybe it is because I grew up not wealthy and when food was down you better make sure it was down.

Now when I am eating somewhere really really really nice I try to behave myself. However as my GF pointed out while I was eating a badass steak at Mortins (or something like that), a fine steak place is not the location to try and pop a pimple.

I can't wear white shirts out because of this.

I tell ya... on a first date... yes, don't order such foods. Otherwise... order up.

Kell if I was out with you and you told me such rubbish as "to promise not to look at you". I would make sure I watched you.

If I'm out on a lunch meeting for work, then I try to order food (not just a salad- screw that) that won't make too much of a mess. However, if I'm with friends I order whatever I want. No matter how hard I try though, I usually spill something.

I don't normally think about how messy a food is, I just order what I want. Now when we have a big lobster feed at my grandmothers I bring an old teeshirt because that shit is going everywhere.
