Sorry, its better than "I hate you all, I'm going to rip your heads off while I scream unbearably," music. Also, the small town thing might have something to do with it.

There is probably some truth to that. I grew up in LA and I didn't know anyone that listened to country.

Same reason Lady Gaga is the shit right now. People like young, hot performers. Talent is basically a non-issue.

Come to think of it though, at least Gaga has more talent than Montana, Spears or Simpson.

I love just about all music including country. But I hate modern pop country. However I have noticed a rise in small country/rock performers becoming more mainstream. Which is good.

I was never a fan of Taylor Swift because I thought she was just some pretty country Britney Spears. Then I looked into her songs and saw that she can play an instrument and she writes most of her songs about stuff that means something to her. Then I respected her and listen to some of her stuff.

I like more of the pop/country. However, my main two music choices are hip-hop and country. Odd mix, I know.

No it's not. That seems to be pretty common among....certain people.

I went through a brief country music phase, but only because I was trying to fit in and pretend to be someone I'm not.
