Agreed. An individuals personal responsibility to keep themself safe is NOT the duty of the government. I am against helmet laws... I am against seatbelt laws... I am against laws banning trans fats. People should take care of themselves... their failure to do so is NOT an excuse to give the government more power.

DAMN!! So glad he's alright.... stories like this are a great illustration on WHY we should always wear our gear (for those who haven't yet gotten it through their heads!)

Had I not been wearing my helmet 2 weeks ago when i went down I might not bee hear either. I'll have to gt pics of the Shoei up. It took it really well and I hardly felt a thing when it happened.
