This isn't anything new, we had someone try to do this to us when I was rehabbing houses.
If he can afford the taxes, HOA dues, maintenance, etc on that house I think I would rather him move in than have a vacant piece of crap property sitting there next to mine. If he can't afford it, he'll be evicted. Though, I'll say this, he had a better chance if he were patient and quiet...

Aye.. we've had a vacant house next to us for about 4 years now.. the people that used to live there abandoned the place and the people that renovated it are making a shitty attempt at selling for huge profit. Not in this market, not in this town, not in this neighborhood will you get the price you're going for, damn it. At least it isn't overgrown anymore though. :/
