A friend of mine was rushed to the hospital by his wife when he started to have pains like you described. The did work-ups on him and couldn't really find anything, until he told them that he'd been cutting firewood with an axe and got into a zone.

I've had the sharp pains and was told I drink too much caffeine but it's not a heart attack.

Same here! I get that when I drop more than two Monsters/Rockstars in an hour!

I don't drink much caffeine anymore. I don't drink coffee, eat chocolate, and I have cut my energy drink consumption to 1 or 2 a week.

Problem is...now if I get a chest pain I just blow it off saying "oh it must be the Diet Mt. Dew I've been drinking".

HAve you done any strenuous labor involving your upper body lately or before it started the first time? Do you workout and push heavy weights? I've gotten pains from that before, having muscles seperate or start to tear where they attach. It's hard to tell if it's in the muscle or inside your chest sometimes. It can also gradually get worse until all of a sudden it hurts like hell, I did that when working out years ago.
