Yea I was thinking I was going to take the bullet for the high speed run.

Hey fellers....*I* was the third bike behind Drewpy and Barker.

The roads were snotty, dirty, and gravel strewn and I had a couple of rear end slides that I didn't like so I decided to slow WAY the hell down (not my style) and live to ride another day.

Meanwhile, Barker and Drewpy are rolling like they are on race slicks on a dry track and when we get to the slab....BAM! They roll into it like their asses were on fire.

I was running 90mph and they walked away from me easily. Then I saw the cop light 'em up, and the first thought in my head was "everyone split up now!!".

Drewpy and Barker got off at the next exit, and I kept going. I figured the cop could only chase one person at a time, so we'd be harder to catch going in multiple directions.

Luckily, the copper chose not to chase anyone as he must have stopped to move the discarded Christmas tree.

I'm sure we'd have had to bail Barker and Drewpy out of jail otherwise.

nice to see ya posting

def not a typical ride for me, if its that snotty out usually i slow way down and rarely roll on the throttle like that, so i dont want to give out the impression that all of the rides i go on i act that irresponsible with disregard for the conditions.

Well, it didn't help that old Barker was rolling along at a brisk pace either.

When we stopped, he said he was sliding all over the place. Of course, it's a freak of nature on a bike. That guy can ride fast on anything.

Barker is fun to ride with. We made a trip up to East Tennessee once, and he and I were blazing the Dragon. He had on those damn sparkys and I was close enough to him at times to catch molten bits of metal.

It was a fun group of folks. Barker, Mike, Chad, Ron and I did a run last year to Deal's, and it was a blast.

I can't wait for things to get warmer and hit it again.
