I like some of the exotic rolls, but I can be plenty happy with a sashimi plate, provided the fish is fresh and the cuts are done right.

I'm fine with the vinigared rice and seaweed of sushi but to me fish has to be cooked, and cooked right (that means not over cooked). When friends want to go out for sushi I'll get teryaki, yakisoba, ramen, or something else. gotta have my green tea ice cream for dessert though

Well, since the term sushi refers to the rice, and not the fish, that would seem to be correct.

If it's made with vinegared rice, in one of the prescribed ways, then it's sushi whether it has fish in it or not
