In short, yes, it is.

The problem with NHIS is that there is the NASCAR ring, which is well maintained and banked. (they realized nascar would bring in money so they dropped the nascar oval on top of the road course. Since then, the oval has been far better maintained than the road course). Therefore, there are transitions between the road course and the oval all over the place. You're not only going between different types of pavement, but also going from banked to not-necessarily-banked regions.

The ones in turn three (the one in the picture... there is one slightly to the left out of view, probably helped me crash..) are by far the worst. The ones in turn 10 (directly north of 3 on the other side of the wall) are a close second. The rest aren't too terrible... sortof....

I bet when I go to a smooth and high-speed track it will be insanely different, and awesome.

Yeah, that too. My bike hit it, but I didn't. In general you aren't coming into T3 hot enough for your body to get there, and if you do, you won't be going very fast.

Sounds like Pocono. The road course is shit. The Oval is supreme...and banked...and very very rough getting on and off of it.

Closest I have been was kicking up cones at a woman's only autocross school...


Although I love to go with my husband and his friends. Hopefully I will be out on the track by the fall.

Here's one from my first track day...I was still fighting the natural urge to stay ON the bike.
I've been hooked ever since!

It was SO much fun! And yeah, that car can move!
My instructor had a C5 Z06 so she knew how Corvette work in those sorts of courses. She taught me that if you mash the peddle before the car is completely straight while coming out of a corner it WILL loose the back end...finding out for sure was the fun part! I did not completely spin out but I was squirling around a bit.

Yeah, I bet, those things have some power!! Thats why I stick with my little 4 cilinger honda!! I'd be mashing that way to often just to get squirling!!
