There's been a few of these guys who've stated the Columbine guys and others were inspirations. Perhaps demotivate was a poor choice of words... maybe uninspire would have been better... If one of these kooks just shot themselves in the face instead of taking a bunch of other motherfuckers with them, well worth it.

And if they do like the kids at columbine they want to make a big splash in the process. problem is those guys have set the bar so now if a kids going to go down in flames he needst to out do columbine and kill more people or blow up more stuff.

This is like thinking, how do you protect yourself against someone willing to die for their cause? Being quiet about it would only make those truly crazy want to know more about it. There is no hiding that it happened. Now days, if the media doesn't give any information people start to go the route of the tinfoil hat. We don't need to create more crazy by trying to hide crazy under the rug.

Quite frankly, I'm really shocked there wasn't a single conceal/carry in that entire theater.

Two things;

First, the theater was a "gun free zone", so law abiding/rule obeying gun people (like most CWP holders) would not have been armed.

Second, Tear gas+dark+body armor+ a shit load of panicked people, does not add up to getting a good result with a hand gun.
