Look at my pic below, I was scared shitless on my first tday. And I'm sure it showed. HAHA
Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it

Yeah, the long video is from my third track day, which was about 4 months after I started riding. The first TD was three months after I started. By the first TD, I had had about 2500-3000 miles of street riding, and a decent chunk of it was twisties and practicing technique.

Your first TD pic is still pretty sweet though! You're not off the bike very much, but you've got a respectable lean angle going on.

That motard pic is sweet.... looks like it must be a pretty small dirt bike based on your knee being down so easily... it is a 125? A lot of guys ride the 450's and such... they are much higher and only the really quick guys get a knee down.

That last pic is nasty.

BTW noticed some of your pics were facebook links... hit me up on there.

Are you smoking crack? 450's are not much bigger than a 250. (A 250 is the 4 stroke equivalent to the 2 stroke 125)

I didn't say a 450 was higher than a 250... I was just asking what type he was riding because it was so small... and asking if maybe it was a 125... I don't know a ton about dirtbikes

Point was, most of the motards I've seen (many of which were 450's and such) are a lot higher than the one in that pic.

Since SM's use 17 inch wheels ans lower profile tires, they sit an inch or two lower than a standard dirt bike.

That makes sense. So why are all the guys I see at TD's riding SM's have a much higher seat and peg, and only the really quick guys get a knee down?

His pic just looked a lot diff to me, that's all.

They might be increasing their race sag. It's just a matter of adjusting the rear spring. They might want a higher setting to get the pegs higher.

Hmm, I guess that could do it.

Speaking of SM's, I found a SIC picture... I was meaning to start a thread about it

NICE! Looks like your leaning the shit out of the bike on that last pic.

It's a suzuki, DRZ-400SM, it's a four hundred, and it's actually BIGGER than the 450's, and heavier. I just have a few screws loose in my head, so I do stuff like that.

Check this pic out, same motard, I noticed that my high-side foot was really light on the peg, and I wanted to see if I could drag knee with one foot off the peg. So I did. (And I didn't crash)

PM me your name, and I'll hit you up with a friend request, I'm going to be gone for ten days, so don't expect it anytime soon.

R!DER, thanks for the props man!
