Federov did play 2 years in Columbus.... so its not a far reach to say that he got the bike signed while he was still in town. But shit, owned it? Come on.....

It would be easy to find out with the VIN if he owned it or not, but shouldn't he have bought a red/white R6?
He was traded to Columbus in 05. Why would a superstar, who made up to $28,000,000 buy a 6 year old 600?

I actually agree with this. Michael Jordan started riding on either a GSXR1000 or 600, I can't remember which. Regardless of how much money you have, you still can buy a sensible bike. Besides, at that time the R6 was the middle weight to beat.
