Right to a peaceful residency means you dont have folks outside at all hours keeping you awake, loud music from the neighbors, screaming children either in or out, and so on and so forth. It doesn't have anything to do with whether the PD is out there every night. If they are, you have much worse problems.

i as a resident couldn't agree with you more. however any atty worth a shit would fight in court that you vacated a residence and broke a lease even though by "lawful" standards it was acceptable.

i can only speak for landlords I know of and they would haul your ass in court in a second for breaking a lease. they usually don't get their money (renters seldom pay the judgement) but you will never get another decent apt either.

I think you guys read it wrong, his gf may not live in the same place as him and may not have had this section 8 crap happen. He is choosing to wait for her lease to end at another place, so they can get a place together.
