He doesnt particularly care for it either, we have several different kinds in the fridge of the oddly named beers. If its in there, he didnt like it.

The german stuff he had a buddy bring back, he was like a kid at christmas. He's saving them tho, he only drank one so far.

My dad just started drinking a few years ago. It's kinda fun because he is always asking me and my hubby about beers to try.

He drinks Bud Light. It was an upgrade from Coors Light.

I'm generally not a fan of German stuff. I dont recall any I've had that I would have again.

I don't really care to spend more money on beer I have to work on aquiring a taste for. I have other things to spend my money on.

Much to my husband's dismay, I despise wine. Everything about it.

I feel much the same about having to acquire a taste for something, altho in the past year or 2, its fun to try some of the strange wines we find. The best one so far is one that was in a cat shaped bottle, and only about $13 dollars. Best riesling Ive ever tasted! Perhaps you just havent found one you like the taste of...and Sangria is always a nice alternative as well, especially for a ladies night or something!

It's not just the taste, it's all the pretention that surrounds it. Just not my thing.

I know not everyone who drinks wine does it out of pretention...but a few people that may or may not be in my extended family may or may not be complete wine snobs and I may or may not hate these particular people. So my complete distaste with the whole culture may or may not be all their fault.

Remember: Be nice to your spouse because they are the only relative you get to pick.

That was the same thing I thought when I read the acquired taste bit About the only thing i bother trying to learn to like is cheap coffee, since it's one of the few things that's still "complimentary" as often as not.

"What do you mean you don't like being kicked in the nuts? It's an acquired taste. Really! Here, try a few!"
