Yeah my parent's were shacking up 2 years before they got married and they lied to his parents the whole time. Found that little detail out when my mom had one too many mudslides. She cried and told me not to tell my sister...Hilarious. Sister was on the phone less than a minute later.

My mom pulled the same shit, never would talk to me about it, never told me what to expect when my time came. Daddy gave me the birds and the bees, but nothing on the girl stuff. Mom refused to even let me take the classes in school so I had no clue other than what my friends told me. Thank gawd I was such a nerd in school I never had the opportunity!! I was an adult before I was even allowed to see the doc or get the pills.

Wow! That's some crazy shit. The fact that you're going to begin bleeding for a week straight and the reasons behind it seems like need to know information. So not only did she fail to educate you, but she also refused to allow you to be educated. "I don't want you to learn from people that know what they're talking about, I'd rather you learn from other teenagers."

I'm not tryin' to bag on your Mom...but Jesus Christ that's fucked up. Why is the human body such a big, bad deal to people?

My parents never talked to me about sex, birth control, my period, body, anything. I don't really remember how I learned.

I think I just read stuff and we learned about it in health class.
