It will be awhile before I have the vacation leave to be able to do that, probably 2010 or 11.

only if your not from that area... for me... it's HOME... I miss it... the rain never bugged me... even in AK when it poured on me while riding... didn't bug me at all... just gotta be smooth...

though I do need to get some rain gear... drying out my pants and jacket sucked major ass... funny my gloves didn't get that wet... my back and my thighs got SOAKED though...

i learned to ride in the rain... my msf course was in the rain.. everytime i went to learn... RAIN! its okay, just not my favorite thing...

Not yet... but definitely soon! really.. now that the sun is coming out... been watching craigslist... looking for an 05 sv with half fairing

You should look for an 01 or so... I love the looks of the first gen SV a lot better, and you could probably pick one up cheap, a lot cheaper than a 2nd gen. And they are on par with eachother as far as performance goes, both will need some fork work and maybe a rear shock and they will be completely capable of whooping ass in the twisties or at the track.
