This what I have found. Strong opinions are met with great resistance if they do not fall in line with the opinion of many posters here. It's communism at it's best. No one here is allowed to have their own opinion and if you do, personal attacks towards you are soon in your future. Aside from an outspoken original TWF member or 2, this all started with the influx of CF folks. It's their way or or a big fuck you. It's funny how people talk about people being sheep, but as soon as you disagree with them, they are the first to send ridicule your way. It hypocritical at best, douchebaggery in the least.
Oh yea I know. At least I don't push forward a premise like "jeans aren't adequate riding gear" and then I post that I'm getting on my bike wearing jeans" like this guy did... I mean the guy posted that he was riding his bike wearing jeans on the last thread and now here he is with this crap...

Ha! At least I'm a consistent asshole!

Consistency is a bonus.

We don't need that stuff here. This subject for example of a good topic. We can harass and talk shit without anyone taking it personally. [/rant]

I agree with that myself! That's why I've eliminated the "War Room" and similar sub-forums from my "New Posts" search. Considering the amount of shit I've taken over owning a GSXR on this forum over the "years", I'm amazed at how angry some guys are getting over the rather mild, imho, "Buell bashing" going on.

But this point is missed by the whole "might as well just wear nothing if you're going to wear jeans" crowd

Jeans are are better than shorts, period. Are they as good as a suit or overpant, no, but try using your bike for daily transportation (imagine that) instead of just weekend rides, and let's see how often you guys wear a suit. Better yet go without a car for a year or 2 like I did, and tell me how often you put on a suit or overpants just to go to the grocery store.

A survey on this subject is meaningless, IMO. If satellites were able to take pictures of every rider out there on any given day, I bet only 0.5% of them would be wearing some type of suit or overpant. I don't need a survey to tell me that. I just look at what I see on the street every day.
