How can a dog have so much stamina?

Better way to put it thanks. We didnt live longer, true, but life was also much harder on the body. Altho now, while we dont have to work as hard, we destroy ourselves versus letting nature do it for us. I always wonder about allergies and stuff. Did our ancestors suffer like people today do? Or were they immune because so much more of their foodstuff was from the land around them versus freezer packaged/bought, etc...

It can be argued (and has been) that we (humans) likely exhibited a lot fewer of the mental and physical infirmities that afflict modern civilization when we existed in more of a daily survival context.

Hey Kaneman, we should get our dogs together and start a sled dog team. I got two siberian huskies, you wanna talk about running for a long time and pulling hard! JESUS Indy the younger of the two pulls like a mack truck and she'll run for HOURS if I let her. Your dog could probably pull more though looks like a beast!!! that raw diet you're putting him on will only help! he'll be bigger stronger, faster and have more stamina than ever!

That's awesome Frost! What do your dogs pull? Do you guys do the rollerblading thing too? After witnessing how much a Boxer can pull I can only imagine what a dog who's bred for it could do in urban conditions!

What about your Huskies, what do you have them eating?

well they pretty much pull what ever I tie them to! LOL including my cousins dog house which she pulled across their back yard. I do the rollerblading thing in the summer. In the winter we have done the skijoring, (thats like cross country skiing with a dog tied to your waist) I also used to have a small sled similar to a dog sled only with wheels instead of skiis. And for intertainment I have an old tire that indy sometimes goes and stands by until I tie her to it and she drags it all over the yard.

as far as what I feed them. they eat all kinds of meat, mostly chicken but i give them all diffrent kinds, pork, beef, lamb what ever. Eggs, with the shell and all. Ill give them pretty much everything that would be in a normal humans diet only less veggies and grains. From what I understand at least the Huskie breed doesn't digest grains well and they have limited food value to them. Oh and I limit the dairy to hardly anything as dogs are lactose intolerant. They can handle some but not to much, lactose reduced milk doesn't seem to bother them. I also only feed them once a day, since huskies are naturally designed to survive in very harsh climates on very little food its easy for them to overeat if its just there for them all the time. Don't get me wrong i DO NOT starve or deprive my dogs in anyway. I just don't let them overeat.

A lot of dog people go back on forth on Jethro. Some swear he's a definitely pure bred and that he just has prominent Mastiff genes, others think he's mixed. My guess is that he's a Boxer/Italian Mastiff mix.

I highly doubt he's mixed with a Cane Corso being they are more rare. I was going to say with his black face maybe a bull mastiff.

And Jethro is a amazing looking dog as well!!

Yeah he's been steady at 8 cups for a long time... but recently its up over 10 cups... I say over cause he always finishes the 10 cups... may have to start giving him more.
