The next day I was coming down the street and it sputtered and died about a block from the shop. I was just sure it had fouled the plugs again and pushed it to the shop and told them just what I thought about those plugs! The mechanic came out to look at the bike, turned the petcock to reserve, kicked it twice and it started. He gave me "That Look" over his glasses and suggested I might find a gas station. I felt like exactly what I was, a dumb ass kid. I learned something that day.

That and my experience would make a good "Wanna get away ?" commercial.

You try holding your beer and remember to put your foot down. It's tough.

At least you didn't do a drift into a gas stall and do the dramatic helmet off, hair shake to impress the hottie in the convertible in the next stall over, then step off the bike and forget to put the stand down like a buddy of mine did

My ex BIL did that. He rode his bike all the way from La to Ca (he was stationed at Twenty Nine Palms). After slabbing it all day and night and being exhausted, when he stopped at the first red light he came to, he forgot to put his foot down and fell over.

let's put it this way: it was about 20 years ago on a Sunday morning on the way back from a rally (with a bunch of peeps).

I thought we planned to depart around noon, but no, somebody wanted ot leave at 8am 3 hours of "sleep" in a sleeping bag w/o a tent wasn't quiet enough for the ride home: I fell over, the bike was on top of me, and I laughed my ass off
