The sort of thing that gives you hope
Sometimes there IS a cop around, when you need him. Other stories that I've read indicate that the pickup driver is an illegal. It was also a motorcycle, not a bicycle.
http://crossville-chronicle.com/loca...-rage-incident July 12, 2010 Officer witnesses cycle forced from highway in road rage incident Staff writer A Crossville Police officer on routine patrol witnessed an act of road rage when the driver of a pickup truck swerved toward a motorcycle, causing the cyclist to lose control of the motor bike. Antonio Villegas, 29, 332 W. Fourth St., Cookeville, was charged with aggravated assault and no driver's license following the June 26 incident, according to Ptl. Jon Tollett's report. In addition, Villegas told the officer that he was in the country illegally and did not have documentation of his right to be in the country. Tollett wrote in his report he was traveling on N. Main St. when he observed a black 1997 Ford pickup truck speeding and then merging into the left lane, swerving toward a motorcycle. That action caused the cyclist to to run off the roadway. The driver was stopped and asked why he was driving as was witnessed and the pickup truck driver replied that the cyclist "flipped him off and made him mad." At that point Villegas was taken into custody and jailed at the Justice Center.

I'm glad the cop was there and saw this with his own eyes.

I wonder how many people here have had that sort of thing happen to them; a car or truck driver swerve at them. I've had it happen, a few times, for absolutely no reason. In one case the car driver not only swerved at me but when I dropped back to get away, he lobbed a water bottle out the window and back at me. I did absolutely nothing to provoke him.

That type of behavior should be charged as attempted murder IMHO. Why are people so stupid?

I had a guy that was doing it on an almost daily basis for a couple weeks. he had a ratty old station wagon and thought it was fun to swerve at the bike. he would literally come within inches of me.
I finally got tired of it and brought my truck to work. Cops in that part of town have more important things to worry about (I mean that seriously) suddenly it didn't seem like such a fun game to him. been run off the road in Florida a couple times. just not looking on their part though. had shit thrown at me in the neighborhood where I work but it's more of a game of can we dump the biker. everyday is interseting. LOL that's why we ride these things is for the excitement isn't it? LOL Totally agree with Z06 and his above statements |

And if he was local, I'd be burning down his house as we speak. I hope his kids get addicted to drugs and he dies of asshole cancer.
Seriously, an illegal alien attempted to murder a US citizen. Try him under all of our fancy new "anti-terrorism" laws and execute him publicly.
