This sort of reminds me of the piles of munitions that were being sold for pennies on the dollar when the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan. Then again, some of it could be the same damn guns.
So... now the problem is getting into & out of the area alive, and how to transport the guns back to somewhere I would actually want to live.

I'm not saying I have a great deal of confidence in them or anything, but they do seem to go bang (in the right direction) often enough to keep that area in business.

People spend a good penny on reloading equipment and that kid was using a thick washer to hold the casing and a hammer.
I bet all the primers used is corrosive. I wonder how long a barrel there last. Im not sure about their humidity and rain seasons. |

Probably the way that I made muzzle loaders and zip guns, myself, when I was a kid. There's a bit of a difference between a hand made single shot weapon and an assault rifle with a cyclical rate of fire in the 500+ rpm range. "Oops, the spring broke!" can have rather serious consequences.

Sure, as long as you still have hands to hold it and eyes to aim it.

Nice to see an Updated Film about this but I saw the first film about the Gun Makers of Kyber Pass in 1971 at a Drive in as a Kid. In those days they were knocking out 303 Nagant Hybrids. In the AK world a Kyber Pass gun means one that was never built by any country.
