Replacement Chain

Well, my stock chain has nearly 16,500 miles on it. It's starting to have tight and loose spots and making a small clunk on takeoff. IIRC, the swingarm sticker says 9k-19k miles, so it's due for replacement. So what's a good, reliable chain that will get at least the same mileage? The stock 520 is $145. I'll stick with 520 because the sprockets still look great (they are steel after all).

Did a quick kneedraggers search, and so far, I've found:
RK X-ring, 520, 120 link; $94
DID ER; $132
DID VM; $105
EK SRX X-ring; $65
Regina O-ring; $120
Regina X-ring $145
EK SS natural; $95

I don't need anything super light, and don't want fruity colors. Probably get the RK chain tool to make the job easier.

RK X-ring is what I have always used. Never owned any street bike long enough to need to change the chain, but on the dirt bikes RK was THE shit.

There is only one choice. DID Xring and Renthal sprockets.

But be sure to do both sprockets!!!

And when you do put in your order. Buy an additional replacement link. Just in case you fuck up your first attempt.

Also, make sure you have the tool to put it together.

AWESOME... they cut the chain to what ever size you need based on your sprocket choice... so you just need to put it together.
