Only if they decay. Embalming is meant to stave off decay. Look at mummies. They aren't skeletons yet.

Even mummies look pretty fucking scary, plus they are made because of embalming and dry or cold conditions where they dont give the bacteria a chance to eat the flesh. PA isn't a dry or cold place, keeping the bodies in her house gotta smell pretty damn bad too.
