Atlanta Area Jobs?
So I am about to run out of money and start selling my body for money. This won't work and thus I am going to continue looking for work.
I am trying to find a job that will last me until early April. I have a college degree but I am looking for some hourly work. Hoping to return back to Alaska and I just need a job to help me get enough funds. I can work any hours and as many hours as needed. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. All the big retailers seem full and it sucks. I was hoping that college starting up again would drain some people out of jobs, but nothing yet. Thought maybe some Atlanta peeps know of actually openings? Thanks peeps! Alex |

Yea it's rough right now trying to find a job. I got laid off the beginning of November and I just started my new job today at Greenleaf Auto Recycling in Monroe. I don't know of any other place offhand.... everywhere I went for the past 2 months nobody was biting. I had to do my own thing to make some $$ on the side in the meantime, so I made up some flyers for doing automotive work here at the house and went over to wal-mart and home depot parking lots (only big stores here in Winder, lol) and put them on windshields. Gotten a couple bites, and one return customer who was so happy he gave me an extra $20 the last time just out of appreciation, and told some of his friends who said they'll be calling me too. Just gotta be creative and find ways to make some money.
If I hear of anything I'll definitely let you know! Good luck!

I am in Riverdale, which is south of the airport. As long as I can take the bike I am willing to commute quite some ways. Looking at a posibility up in Bufford tomorrow, just over and hour to get there. But an hour each way is better then no pay all day.

Have you tried going to a temp agency since you need a job only for a few months and hourly?

I drove over an hour today for a job interview who are looking for people to work in their warehouse. The interviewer was shocked that I was willing to drive that far and b that I had a college degree and wanted to work there. Arg. |

My cousin's husband is a firefighter for Rockdale county. He said they had 30positions available. I was going to take the offer up but wanted to go to school instead. But that's a long term commitment so I guess you don't want that.

Yeah as of right now I am trying to avoid commitment, but if I decide otherwise I may be interested. At this point I am even considering some time in the armed forces just for the experience of it.
Found a couple restauraunts that are hiring so I hope to stop by tomorrow and see if I can get a foot in the door. It would almost be the perfect job, good tips and 0 commitment. |
