My late grandfather used to have a huckster route ( a truck with an established route selling meat,eggs and veggies to customers ).

This nice Jewish lady ( who turned me on to lox and bagels, thank you very much ) asked one day for a "slice of pink turkey leg". We got the rest of her order and went out to the truck. My grandfather pulled out a ham and started cutting a slice. I said to my grandfather "she's not supposed to eat that" ( I was 12 at the time ). To which he replied, "she's getting a slice of pink turkey leg, just liked she asked for"
