Shots fired at Parti Québécois post-election celebration

As many of you know, Quebec constantly seems to be threatening to separate from Canada. The primary political party that supports this position is the Parti Québécois. Well they had an election in Quebec, last night, and the Liberal Party lost to the Parti Québécois, giving them a minority government.

During the leader's speech she was whisked off the stage by Provincial Police, who were acting as her security. No one had an idea why, until it was announced that a man was in custody for shooting and killing one person, and wounding another. Early reports state that the person in custody said something like, "The English will awaken", in French, when he was being taken away. Of course this report comes from people who would benefit from the political strife that would result from something like that, so those reports should be taken with an entire mine full of salt.

Let Quebec secede. Build a 50' wall around the province. Fill with water. Let sit for a week. Drain water. Remove wall. Move along.

Definitely allow them to separate. We'd have a lot more money in our coffers, and they'd come crawling back in a decade with their tails between their legs.

Let them seperate and then invade them. Once that is complete sell it to the United States for the ultimate insult.

Even with the mail-in rebate, I get the impression that Quebec would end up costing us more than they're worth in short order.

I was actually thinking of making Quebec a "socialist" zone similar to how China let Hong Kong operate as a capitalist country after they got it back. That way all the rift raft from say New Orleans wont' need a passport to get there and all the great Canadian benefits the Canadians get to enjoy.

Oddly enough they like Americans (must be all the money you guys spend there). They just don't like Anglo Canadians, especially Ontarians.
