Default Movies that you'd LIKE to see made

Reading the comic book movie thread had me thinking. Is there a movie os a comic, book, whatever that you would like to see made?

I'd like to see a movie made of Robert Adams' "Horseclans" books. Hell, there were more than 30 of them, so the series could go on forever

OK, I checked and there were only 18. Still more than the Star Wars series though

From the wonderful world of comics:

Earth X and Kingdom Come. Both will never get made, and it's a shame, because the both incredibly well written and self contained, and that's why they won't get made. There's no real potential to franchise. That and securing the rights to put a massive clusterfuck of aged superheroes in one movie just wouldn't work out. Also, Red Son. Excellent Superman story devoid of the emo pussification that took place recently.

In the realm of not comics, I'd love to see Stephen King's Dark Tower series done right. And by right, I mean something along the lines of an HBO miniseries rather than a completely hacked to bits 3 hour movie, or worse, trilogy. Trim off some of the fluff and excess, by all means, but we don't need some directors shit vision of a classic. Roland Deschain is practically an iconic figure, no need to fuck him up.

Interesting. Reminds me of a cross between the Janissaries and 'Earth: Final Conflict' (the TV show).

In the realm of military SF, I'd like to see "Tactics of Mistake"

I've thought this many times myself, but I'm afraid it'd be as limp as the TV movie of The Stand.

You'd never see it if it was made. All the theatres would be burnt down!

Preacher would be better as an HBO series like Rome or Deadwood. Too much backstory to it that makes it so great to put in movie form. I would love to see some of that book to celluloid tho. I would like to see some of the old Warlord comics done or a really good Green Latern or Flash.
