Default Too bad...

...neither my husband or I are looking to upgrade.

http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/mcy/1371537221.html

MSRP $11,499.

I have been seeing a lot of awesome deals on new bikes around here.

Local shop here still has two of the 09 R1s that they got when they came out. They also have an 08 GSXR 600 that they are trying to get rid of for really cheap.

What are you guys seeing at your local shops?

That's what they get for having ridiculous markups. I had a dealer back in late '03 tell me that the absolute best price he could give me on a leftover 2003 CBR600RR was $10.5K OTD (I was paying cash). I bought an '04 636 later that day for $8K OTD from a different dealer. When I went back to the first dealer six months later, he still had the CBR.

Cash is a negative when buying things like cars and motorcycles. Often times, dealers make a little on the back end if they finance. Sometimes they will factor that into the deal.

My buddy was selling left over 2008 CBR1000s for $9400 OTD. Sometimes honda will extend the hold backs on certain bikes or give reduced/free flooring for certain models meaning the dealer is more apt to wiggle on price if it's not a big seller.

Cost ain't always cost on bikes.

There were leftover 08 zx6r's, cbr1000rr's and cbr600rr's left over for pretty cheap at the same dealer I got my bike from.

I know a guy who bought an 08 a couple weeks ago for only about $8300 OTD. But I'd rather have the 07, it looks better.
