Default It's Tire Time.

Ok,

So I know you all have Leads/websites/Connections so I need a Set of tires for the start of the season...And I mine as well buy them now so I can get the bike all ready to go for when the weather breaks.

I have the Original Front Tire on there now Which was the BT 016 OEM Tire and I replaced the Rear for a Dunlop Qualifier Before last years rally...And got about 5,000 Out of that tire...The front has a little over 10k and isnt completly done but its time to change it just so I have fresh matching tires.

I was gonna go with the BT 002's...Or the Dunlop D220's.

The cheapest I found the BT 002's for was 134 for the rear and 99 for the front and the Dunlops were 125 for the rear and 60 for the front.

And I know that one is a Sport TOuring and the others are more of a supersport racing tire...So ill also take feedback on which ones you prefer.

Im leaning towards the dunlops b/c i dont Ride that aggressive in jersey...I only ride aggressive when I go to the rally and a few trips to Pa and Md.

Thanks

I am kinda partial to the michelins and like the pilot powers, used em on track and street and did well for me on both. I may get a few sets of 003's for the track bike and will need new rubber for the futura, the rear is starting to flatten out a bit and dont want to go through last years stress of will my tire make it down there.

I would check out SW moto and sport bike track gear for the michelins

stay away from the d220s unless you want a shitty tire

There is a conti that might fit your needs. I don't remember the name, I will get it and hit this thread back up.

Conti Road Attacks and Avon Storms

I would take a look at those before you go with a D220.

My brother has, he liked him a lot and said they lasted awhile. He basically commuted to work, but wanted something to play on the gap when he had his Katana. He liked them fairly well, said they lasted pretty good and had decent grip.

I was recommended the Storms when I was looking for a similar tire.

Cycle Gear has the BT016s on the cheap right now. You can get a set shipped for like $245. 120/180 combo. I love 'em, and I came from Pilot Powers. Currently on my second set of 016s.

Michelin's latest and greatest are the Pilot Pure. Supposed to be lighter and outperform the 2CTs. Google 'em for prices.
