Westchester Police: ER Worker Took Dying Man's Credit Cards

VALHALLA, N.Y. (AP/1010 WINS) -- Police in New York say a worker in a hospital emergency room stole credit cards from a dying plane crash victim.

Westchester County police said Tuesday that 33-year-old Anthony Vassell was charged with grand larceny, identity theft and other crimes.

They said he stole credit cards belonging to 53-year-old Daniel Bisk of Pleasantville, who was a passenger in a small plane that crashed Nov. 22 in Dutchess County. Bisk died Dec. 1 at Westchester Medical Center.

Using Bisk's cards, Vassell and his girlfriend allegedly went shopping for $2,000 in clothing, jewelry, liquor, a computer and more.

The girlfriend, 29-year-old Lisa Dacosta, was also charged. Both suspects live in the Bronx.

County police had no information on their lawyers.

this is first I am hearing of it. I have had several dealing swith their Er from stuff I send over from our jobsite and thought they have been quite good (the Er doesnt use PA's though so boo on them )

I am curious if this is a doc, nurse, tech or just some housekeeping guy or something. the hospital is in a rather nice neighborhood so i figured they would have a deep talent pool but the thief lives in the bronx so its hard to say.

You can't take it with you.

Cats stay free.

Both would make good hotel slogans.

Looks like **, but I don't know...
