Classic Motorcycle Show @ Martin Motor Sports ( LOTS of pics )
Today Martin Motor Sports had their first classic motorcycle show today. I saw a lot of nice cycles, moto guzzis, ducatis, bmw's, a vincent plus a lot of japanese cycles.
Here's a look over some of the showroom floor ( which they had removed ALL of their motorcycles for sale ) Right as you came in the door, they had a 1952 Vincent Black Shadow They had a drag bike too A 1954 Triumph Tiger Cub drag bike All the cycle had cards like that on them , the front stated the owner, year, manufacturer and the back had info about that model. 1966 Honda CL160 The had a 1961 BMW with sidecar. Found out there were two paint options for the early BMW's, black with white pin stripes and white with black pin stripes Here's the same bike as the first one I rode entirely too fast on A 1984 Honda Interceptor 1100. ( indicated 145 ) They had Kawasaki triples too '72 H2 750 '74 S3 400 '73 H1 500 ( slightly modded) reeds and flat slide carbs So after drooling on the various motorcycles for two hours, I decided to go home for lunch. Outside I see a 1974 Hercules motorcycle. It's WANKEL powered. The guy bought it four years ago and rides it regularly. It's got over 10K on it and he said it "goes pretty good when you wick it up" The guy was about 70 and had a pretty big grin when he said that. He purchased it from the original owner and has a lot of spare parts for it ( the original owner purchased a lot of spares when he bought it ) There are more cycles in the slide show I haven't mentioned There's all my pics from today in a slide show Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket I had a great time today, hope you all enjoy the pics Jeff |

Maybe next year
Great show and the stories from all the people that either own or used to own the cycles was great. While I was checking out the kawasaki triples, I heard all kinds of "widow maker" stories. " They went like hell in a straight line but didn't stop or turn worth shit". Interesting talking to a former turbo owner, he said that was stupid idea. (he was on it in a corner when the turbo hit boost and he ended up in the ditch ) |

I'd take that Interceptor, thank you very much. I've always dug the semi-naked Interceptors.
