Oval vs round exhaust sounds
Is there a difference in sound between an oval and a round exhaust?

In my experience, very little. The model of bike makes more difference than the shape of the pipe.

I was going to say that it probably does, but not much. What will make the most difference between 2 exhausts on the same bike is the internal baffling and packing inside of it.

How about if it's titanium, stainless, carbon fiber, etc...?

Even less than difference than the shape. It's the internals that made the difference. Exterior make (of the actual muffler, not counting the mid or header) is an aesthetic difference only. Plus a carbon (not sure about ti) pipe will not get hot to the touch, where a stainless will.

Depends on how you like girth. Round or thin.
I like oval because it tucks in better and round just looks too big. Triangle looks damn good on some bikes. Carbon is nice for the color and staying cool. I have an oval carbon cause it fits nice with my high mount and my soft luggage doesnt light up in flames. |
