I'm done with BFGoodrich!
Bastages!
I love their car tires. They work very well on my Corvette, and I get ridiculously good mileage from them. However, I've had it! The rears wear out about twice as fast as the fronts , so every other set of rears, I replace the fronts as well. This time, I'm on my odd replacement where I don't replace the fronts. It seems BFGoodrich not only quit making the particular rear replacement to match the front tire, but they quit making the right size completely! So, I can't get a BFGoodrich tire at all in the proper rear size, meaning I can either mis-match brands front to rear, or I can put on a full set of tires when I don't need the fronts yet. The sizes I'm looking at aren't cheap either. I'll probably end up replacing them all, because I'm OCD like that, but still. It pisses me off.

The simple solution is to replace the Vette. Two collisions, discontinued tires, and high miles. It's all downhill from here man.

Hey Trace,
Give Paul a ring - (512) 336-7403. If he can't help you... no one can.

Hmmm, my Mustang has the same rear tire wear problem but I don't have BF Goodrich.
Is this wear normal or do I have a car virus? |

I used to run the A/T's...loved them! Now I'm running the Long Trails. Not bad either...though I'd rather have the AT's.

What generation Corvette? If it's a C3, I can make you a great deal on a set of 255/60-15's. I put less than 2K on them ( no burnouts either) and ended up putting a set of Pirellis on my '77

It's a C4.
The sizes are 285-40-ZR17 and 255-45-ZR17. Oddballs to say the least. So far, the only other car I've found that takes the same size pair is a 2000 model Ferrari. Great. Just great.
