Default CL Scammer Update

Just for shits and grins, I responded to this obvious scammer ad:

I'll post the response below>

"2008 Yamaha YZF-R6 Black - $3200 (baltimore)

This bike has been minimally ridden, kept in a heated garage, covered, on a battery tender. No dings, dents, damage, rust. It starts, runs, shifts, and handles without a flaw.

20 years under Franco's dictatorship were
difficult for Alicante along with the rest of the country However the late 1950s
and early 1960s saw the onset of a lasting transformation of the city with
tourism Large buildings and complexes rose in nearby

The part in Italics is in the ad is invisible (white on white) text; as the scammers post so many ads across the web, they put some non-sensical or random quote hidden in the ad; it aids them in doing global searches later. It only shows up when you highlight the whole ad. Your real-life everyday ad won't have hidden text.

Got this response "Hi there,

I'm writing you regarding my 2008 Yamaha YZF-R6. The bike is in perfect condition, not even close to broke in. Paint and everything else is flawless. Never down, never rained on. It sits in garage with a cover on it. The bike has a clear title and it has 863 miles on it.
The price is not negotiable, if you are interested in buying it, the price is $3200. I sell the bike at this price because I cannot enjoy it due to my job(I work as a casino
dealer on a cruise ship), I'm a single woman and I have nobody close who can use it.
All documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the bike.
Also about payment and shipping I will use only eBay Purchase Protection so we can both be protected.
I am looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you, "

The email address is a Hotmail account...another giveaway.

Ebay purchase protection is only available on , guess what, only on puchases through ebay....duh.....another give
away.

Here's my response:

"Great! I have cash in hand, and I'm ready to pick it up.
Tell me when and where.

I'll save you some money, as I can pick it up with my own truck....

Thanks

OTB"

I'll keep you posted on the next exchange, but it will be that the bike is in Cleveland or LA or San Juan Capistrano............but it won't be in Baltimore, though that's where the bike is listed.........and I'll have 3 or 5 or 28 days to "examine the merchandise".........watch and wait....

It usually takes 8-18 hours to get a response, as most of these folks are on the other side of the globe....................

This piece of shit scammer this is what he sents

The price is $2850.
This bike is a real 'head turner' and it will make you proud, it is in excellent condition, never been involved in accidents,1300cc ,only 4,500 miles, VIN:1HFSC55094A004432 clean and clear title,no mechanical problems,no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, all functional and it will need nothing in the near future.
I have the bike sealed at DAS terminal in Cleveland,OH ready to be shipped out will take 4-5 days through DAS and it will be free,my previous buyer(his loan did not get approved)already paid for it and DAS didn't want to refund him the shipping fee.
I cannot meet face2face I have a new job in Tucson, AZ I would like to use Autotrader Vehicle Purchase to take care of this deal, smooth and safe. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope i didn't miss anything.
More pictures here: http://picasaweb.google.com/erpecher...xxgE#slideshow.

Thank you,Joseph.

I reply to them that I don't have a bank account and that sending cash trough western union is the only way I do business. I have never had a reply back from any of them.
