Default New toy/Saturday morning project

I bought an AR-15 kit in a group purchase. This was my first attempt to build one but it seemed to come out just fine. It really wasn't that hard...just several very small pins and springs that looked similar but weren't.

Before and after pics...

Thanks

I can tell you that the Husky tool set was $$ well spent. I've used it for quite a while in many situations...I like it alot.

Same here especially since it was relatively cheap for how many tools are in it.

You made sure that you have the headspace done correctly, right?

Excellent. Ditto on guaging the headspace, worst case it kills the gun, best case you have lots of malfunctions from dirt in the blowback.

see, I'd need several cases of beer and duct tape to keep from yelling the F word every time one of those springs flew across the room and hitting the cat...

I looked at several for different prices but this particular one was $599 shipped plus another member here got me a deal on a stripped lower for $105 and I added a RRA 2-stage match trigger for $88 and a low profile rear site for $10.

I didn't have to add the trigger upgrade or the rear site upgrade but wanted to.
