They could have changed the entire bike as long as they left the exhaust alone. Instead they changed the exhaust and left everything else the same.

Personally I think the quad-exhaust thing had gotten rather stale (along with undertails in general). Especially when you consider that it's a four-cylinder, so it only has one pipe leading into that huge muffler. If it was a v-twin at least it would have 2 pipes leading into it, making those 4 tips appear more "justified" from a visual perspective.

Give it a low-slung side-exit exhaust, a thinner tail that doesn't look like the Starship Enterprise, and a less bulky lower fairing, and we might have something.
