You should know better than to think that it will stop. I think it is a little funny since I don't see SLI sticking around for a terribly long time with all the new display interfaces they are coming out with that would rock for hardcore gamers I.E. multi-touch screens and whatnot. Considering 4 SLI cards is WAY overkill you are just going to max after 2 or 3 on FPS. By the time 4 gives you any kind of advantage SLI will be obsolete.

The funny is I always here how the cpu is a bottleneck to the gpu. So why would adding more help?

Now SLi (two gpu's) does help. I used to run two 8800GT's (not gts) and it really did help. I'm now a 280gtx owner and I dont see adding another card would help that much cause the power demand is a big trade off. Plus I cant even fit another vid card on my mobo cause of the massive heatsink. LOL

The power trade was a big deal when I built my rig. I HAD to have a 1000w power supply. I had to get creative with cooling too because things got toasty quick.

Screw sli and crossfire

I switched to an LG Flatron W2361VG (glossy) monitor and fucking LOVE IT! Glossy FTW!

I have a 20 inch LCD I use when I am just jumping on to look at something real fast. Most of the time I use my HD projector (Gaming, movies, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc)

I've been spoiled by my IPS LCD. I guess its small at 20 inch but I haven't seen anything worth replacing it with that's not insanely priced.
