Its ALIVE!

Well not yet. still waiting on a few parts from the egay... most importantly a fairing stay. Then i'll need to do is buy a ram air cover and some various small parts and it'll look normal again. Just sucks i'm so close and have no money to buy the parts i need... fawk.

I'm pretty bad ass at plastic welding, though.

Seems like an awful lot of work. How much are used platics from EBay?

i got that front for 29 bucks (broken), as opposed to 250-300 for an aftermarket brand or 400-500 for an OEM.

It honestly took me only 15 minutes to weld the cracks, and about 30 minutes to fabricate and weld the left side.

Trust me, thats no frankenbike. I used to own an 89 GS500E that someone took the stock 37mm forks, triple trees, and rims off of, BORED THE NECK OUT, and put an 05 ZX6R front end, triple trees, stem, forks, rim and all onto the thing. shoulda pressed the steering stem out of both the stock clamps and the 636 set, and it would have fit perfectly.

THAT was a cool bike to own. 500cc, radial master with TWO 4 pot calipers supersport suspension and it would literally stop on a hair. not a dime, but a HAIR. I miss that now.

You need to post up your plastic welding setup.
