Default The age old question

What to do besides Turkey sandwich

2 people are just no match for a 13 lb turkey
Normally I do turkey dinner re-heated, turkey soup and turkey enchiladas... what else could I do?

Mine was trying to get the stuff my kids dropped. He gets a taste sometimes but not intentionally. I don't want him begging at the table or destroying the trash cans when we are at work.

Turkey is actually pretty versatile. It's a strong enough meat to stand up to a lot of flavor. It's very good in fried rice or any oriental dish. It does well as curry. Shred some potatoes, mix in shredded turkey and cook it as hash (add some seasonings, salt, pepper, etc) and top with a fried egg, tasty breakfast! Back in the day my mom used to make "turkey logs", chopped turkey, celery, carrots, and I think potatoes, cook in a very thick gravy, then form into small meatloaves, roll in bread crumbs and fry. Personal favorite? Make a turkey salad, but instead of just mayo as mixer add a little sweet BBQ sauce and you have a southern BBQ turkey salad.

I am a fat kid.

Not a problem dude, just remember, keep my mom outta this and I'll keep this outta your mom.

Actually the turkey hash is not from my mom, the fried turkey logs are. And they're pretty fucking good BTW. I can get the recipe from her if you'd like it.
