Well, I basically took a plethora of my spices and mixed them together to make a nice rub. I cooked the brisket for about 1.5 hrs while I took the dogs to Fort Woof. I came back and that damn meat was smellin so good I almost started crying.

I reset the oven to 300 and poured some beer (don't worry, it was just bud light) and water in there then covered the pan with foil. 2 more hours to go...
in all seriousness, I'd recommend making sure you use a meat thermometer

Or if you live where I do, the salt lick is a 15min ride away. Where they actually kill the cow in the back pasture.

Sounded pretty good. How did it turn out?

You're a good husband, just like mine has been lately - He has had dinner ready a couple times this week when I get home from work.

It came out very very good actually. Tender, moist and extra beefy. The leftovers will make some killer BBQ sandwiches too!

Don't need no smoker mang!!

Well that's good to hear. If it would have came out extra chickeny, I'd say there was a good chance you fucked it up.
