ex-wife's family is in a town called "Patoka" in Ill. All the roads (tar & gravel) intersect at 4-way stops and your nearest neighbor is 3 miles away in some corn. 3 things to there....farm, four-wheel, fuck

Fisrt time there I wanted to leave after 2hours

My mother's family is from Linton. I don't recall a call center business there.... that entire arrangement was doomed to failure.

It's amazing how much outsourcing happens in the boonies of America.

obviously rolling into a small town in something like a lexus isnt gonna make it easier. the problem here is pretty evident, the family isnt fitted to small town life because they dont fit in nor understand what it is.

Michigan has been far better than Iowa but the people are still very quirky and it's hard to make it into the "circle" as a transplant. Fortunately we moved into a neighborhood where 95% of the residents are from out of the area so we've made our own circle. We really don't have many friends outside of our neighborhood, maybe 4 or 5 families, but we are such good friends with many of our neighbors, there is no need to leave the neighborhood to find friends. If it wasn't for the friends we have in our neighborhood we would have said fuck you to MI long ago and headed back west.
And I thought that was just the south

"Don't fit in" because of the make model of the car they drive?

I don't need to understand a town like that if they are going to judge me based on nonsense.

Are these the small town values that dick heads are always BS'n about?
