I have one advantage to living in a small town. No fucking traffic jams. I have a 7 minute commute to work, and only live 3 miles away (all of it is 30MPH). The big traffic problem in this town would be all the damn trains. We get railroaded constantly around here because the town is too cheap to build overpasses. Oh well, I'm at least thankful for the lack of commute. My cousin lives in Chicago and rides a bus to the train station, then takes the train into the city. He spends 4 hours a day on busses and trains, making his 8 hour day a 12 hour day, for 5 days a week. FUCK THAT!!

F that Capt.
I remember when I had a 65 mile commute to work... 45-50 mins everyday. The only reason why I was able to endure for so many years... I was traveling opposite of the majority. In the morning I was going north from Royal Oak to Flint, everybody else was going south from Gennesse county to Troy & 696 (sth). In the afternoon the opposite. I would be cruisin at 80mph/cruise set and they would all be stuck in a jam... |

Well my commute so far has not been impacted by school opening which is unlike the previous 5 years that I've lived in my current home. There is a new high school in the area and maybe that is the reason...not sure but whatever it is...I hope it stays this way.
