The sound of salt impacting an apple tree 5 feet away tends to do much the same thing

A lot of people prefer the tactical reliability of pump action, but semi-autos are perfectly fine. You just have to find a load that works well with your gas action and stick with it. For example, my Remington 1100 20 ga. never has cycled reliably with low brass loads, but high brass I can shoot all day without so much as a hiccup.

You and most other people... it worked well in a home invasion. All I had to do was pump and yell "Get the Fuck Out" and they left....

Wife's at home, alarm goes off,guy ( or maybe more then 1) bust thru door, Z loads 1 up, fires at guy Is she gonna be in the right frame of mind to pump and shoot again? Or is it easier to keep pulling the trigger Both take action to load, 1 keeps on firing, 1 has to be pumped again to fire. Troy, I fondled an STI guardian, that'll be my next gun and made in TX ta boot!
