Hmmm, ok, yeah, I'd just have to look at it like one of those 'vacation ownership' seminars - listen to an hour of BS to get free shit!

North of Wrigglyville is good and so is the west sububrbs but you uare looking at long commute times. Avoid south of town at any cost.

and if you live in the city you get to shovel out a spot and then have someone else take it or you can take someone's parking spot and get shot for it. on public streets that is.
chicago is a fun place to visit. don't know that i'd want to live there but i prefer a slower pace now days. i do love to drive there though. think indy 500 with a little nascar rubbing. motorcycles are considered an annoyance by cagers there. tolls suck and are getting more expensive every year it seems. never had to deal with Chicago PD so I can't offer anything about them. considering what they deal with I would not imagine them to be the most friendly people. Lots of things to do there. Navy Pier, Six Flags, Outlet malls galore, Bass Pro, Horses just outside of the city are some beautiful ranches, large airport if you need to travel. very expensive, much higher cost of living then north Florida. go to one of those comparison sites, I would imagine the higher costs would be surprising. stay out of Joliet and South Chicago. |
