Still, he might not have known the fucking nutbag was holding on to the back of his bike.

He mighta seen him pull up, and took off. Seems very little time elapsed between the cruiser coming to a stop, and the "dragging".

Given the time frame, I'd say nutbag dove outta the car, and at the fucking bike, and grabbed it.

Guy mighta had no clue he'd acquired a fucking Klingon.

I don't have a very high opinion of runners. In other incidents, that I've seen video of, the cop has simply tackled the runner off his bike. That likely would have been a better choice.

I still like the no chase policy. Get his tags and let the runner take off and go home. Pick him up at your convenience. Chasing runners is a dangerous policy especially for something stupid like speeding.

Chasing ANYONE is fucking retarded. Statistics show that 30% of the time, innocents get hurt. Cops are fucking prideful assholes, and take shit way too personally...think that they're fucking Rambo and shit, and chase anyway.

In reality, they just look the like the fragile ego pussies that they are to those who understand psychology at all. Shame they have to hurt so many innocents because of fucking pride and ego.

They have choppers, radios, and dash cams now.

None of this shit is at all defensible.

There are some instances of chasing that I think are warranted, something like hostages. If a child rapist has a kid and there is a chance you can save that kid, I wouldn't want them backed off. Backing them off and using the heli if they have one is definitely the way to go.

Which would mean that car thieves would get off, scot-free, and it would be truly trivial for a motorcyclist to raise reasonable doubt, in court.

Like it or not, some form of pursuit policy is necessary. It's also necessary for police to FOLLOW that policy and not play cowboy, when they should back off.

Yep. Pretty indicative of the problem here.

If that page is anything like our BlueLine forum, then you can be pretty sure that most of the tough guy comments aren't coming from cops, but rather wannabes.
