It's an interesting bike, it has overhead Cams, (with exposed valvespings!) but it's a foot clutch/hand shift bike. First invented in the 30's, and more advanced than the pushrod Harleys currently built!

Oh, and BTW, for all of you who found my first bike so difficult to guess, look closely at the side of the head, it says ESO.

ESO was a private company that was nationalized in the Chzech Republic under the Jawa Corporation, which is still making bikes, and this was a development mule for the engine technology, and one of very few ESO/Jawa roadracers.
