At some point in time, these folks get tired of the grind, and someone comes along and offers them a check. It's not that different when someone sells their business to a larger company. The difference here is that at least your business was paying you something for your efforts. If VS came buy with their checkbook and was willing to write a check for $25,000-50,000 for your bulletin board, it would be hard to pass up.
