I've lost 6 lbs in the last 8 weeks by doing essentially nothing. I just cut out soda and cut way back on brewskiz.

Not me, I can't live without 5 or 6 a day! I'm thinking about energy shots to knock down the caffeine withdrawal/headaches until I can drop it completely. Replacing the sugar will be another problem entirely...

That's what I'm also hoping to achieve. I also bought a sit-up bench to help with the spare tire...

I've gained absolutely nothing by drinking soda and not drinking brewskiz. LOL

They've finally made it to our part of the world. They've been out for some time now. I'm so used to syrup MT Dew that the throwback is too different. Not really bad but still undecided.

The sugar is much healthier than the High Fructose Corn Syrup. I might have to give it a try. Sugar is a funny thing. I cut out all carbs last week, I mean zero carbs and I lost 8lbs in 1 week. I also changed my weight lifting from the typical 3-4 sets of 10 reps to 4 sets of 20 reps for each exercise, 4 exercises per muscle group. Not sure if that contributed to much weight loss but I'm happy. Another week or 2 and I should be golden.

More reps burns more calories. Do it too much and you'll start to lose muscle mass tho

Not entirely true...

Theres a lot of science behind it, but overall, the misconception that working longer burns more calories just isnt true.

Muscle mass burns calories, the more hard, dense muscle tissue you have, the more calories you burn over time.

So yes, over a span of 45 minutes, you will burn more calories doing 20 rep sets, but will get almost zero actual muscle growth. Where as somebody training with lower reps with intention of building muscle (not talking bodybuilder hu8geness), will burn much, much more calories over the course of the day than the person doing the high reps.

That said, rider, switching your routine will do that to your body. Its not good to fall into the same workout for months on end. 6 weeks is about the max length you should keep one routine, as your body becomes used to it and stops growing because its accustomed to the strain your putting on your body.

Its more complicated than that, but I dont have time to go into protein synthesis and macrobolic nutrition. And you'd be bored to tears trying to read it, because you probabl;y dont care anyway.
