And, your cheesecakes don't crack? From my experience beating a mixture to make a cheesecake will make it crack whereas mixing it with a large spoon won't...

As for the topic at hand, microwave foods are convenient. But, not ever "good."

the foods themselve may be so so bu tmy dad has made roast beef and turkey in the microwave/convection phase that it quite good and not all dried out.

We have egg poachers for the microwave that work well. Every other Sunday we'll make 4 poached eggs and throw them in small tupperware containers with a piece of Canadian bacon, ham, or a turkey sausage patty. Then duing the week we'll toast a whole wheat English muffin, pop the container in the microwave to heat up the egg/meat and throw it on the muffin with a slice of cheese and have a hot breakfast on the way out the door to work. Usually bring a banana with me and have that when I get to the office.

I'll also steam asparagus or snow peas or green beans in the microwave with a dab of light margarine, S&P and garlic powder.

Couple questions - How are you guys cooking eggs in a microwave? What kinda container/how much time? I might be revolutionizing breakfast around here with whole food instead of a milk/eggwhite shake.

What we use is similar to this. Just put a couple drops of water in the bottom, then the egg, and poke some holes in the yolk with a fork before cooking.

I had a newer one, though not a flipper and it SUCKED. Mom bought me an old one (old as in cloth cord) at a junk store for $2. It works perfectly!

Microwave - don't use it much, soften butter to make cookies or defrost veggies for chicken pot pie or sausage for pizza.

I do have a WW recipe for stuffed peppers to make in the microwave, FTW!
